InfantSEE

We are one of the proud providers of the InfantSEE program that is managed by the American Optometric Association Foundation. We provide a comprehensive vision assessment for infants under twelve months of age regardless of a family’s income or access to insurance.

What does the exam entail?

1. Visual Acuity
   • Checking for ability to fixate on a target and follow
   • Checking for ability to differentiate between finer gratings on a card
2. Ocular Motility
   • Checking for movement of his/her eyes to all gazes with no restrictions
3. Alignment/Binocular Potential
   • Using targets such as a penlight to check the alignments of your baby’s eyes
   • Checking for eye turns
4. Refractive Status
5. Objectively check your baby’s refraction
6. Eye Health
   • With or without dilation to check the health of the front and back of the eye
7. Pupil Evaluation
8. Visual Field Assessment
   • Checking if there is any major loss of visual field
