Jason Kowallis

Jason is a fourth year optometry student at Southern College of Optometry and will be graduating in May 2012. He wanted to intern at our office because of his strong interest in vision therapy and professor recommendations. Born and raised in Roosevelt, Utah, Jason graduated from Utah State University with a biology degree. He comes from a family of optometrists, with his dad currently in practice. Jason enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoys flyfishing, flytying, and fly rod building. Jason knew he wanted to become an optometrist when he had the opportunity to do vision projects in Mexico, providing vision care and glasses to many villagers in need. He was thrilled when he saw firsthand how sights were restored by a good pair of glasses. We are excited to spend a few months with Jason here!
