Stories From Elementary Age Kids:
"Before
I started vision therapy, it was hard for me to read at a good pace.
Then after reading something, I would have to go back and re-read
it to fully understand it. Now, ever since graduating from vision
therapy, I can read at a fast pace, and I don’t have to read
things over and over. Also, I am able to skim and retain the information
in a snap. This has helped me considerably in History and reduced
homework by at least one-half. My Math skills have also improved.
Before, I would make simple mistakes such as not lining up the right
numbers or that my handwriting would be so bad, I couldn’t
read my own work. Now that has all changed and Math is easy.
The
most major difference I have notice is how well my eyes work together.
They no longer cross and don’t get tired as easily. I can
also see things up close and far away clear as a bell. My life has
improved greatly and I owe it all to vision therapy. Thank you!"

"Vision
therapy has helped me a lot. I like to read things now. I use to
hate reading. I wasn’t able to read anything without moving
around and moving my head. It doesn’t bother me to take the
Stanford tests and Aims tests now. I feel a lot more confident about
life.
Sherry
was great to work with. She understood my problems. She was a helpful
friend."

"There
are lots of things I can do better now than before vision therapy.
I’ve improved my reading, before I used to loose my place
often when reading. I mixed up my d’s, b’s, p’s,
and q’s, not anymore. I used to guess words and not really
read them. I didn’t like to read at all. Now, I even like
to read and reading is easy for me. I used to write very sloppy.
I didn’t write in straight lines and my writing was very heard
to read. Now I can print very neatly and my cursive writing is neat
too. I’ve improved my spelling. School is easier for me now
than before vision therapy."

"Vision
therapy has helped me in many ways. Before vision therapy I got
lots of headaches and was not very good at sports. Now here I am,
all finished with vision therapy with less headaches, really good
at sports, and get straight A+’s on my report card. Vision
therapy has made me happy. All the kids in my class always ask me
what the answer is, and they also ask me, “How are you so
good at sports?” I will miss being in vision therapy!"

"In
vision therapy I have been able to control my anger much better.
I have no trouble doing homework for school, and I don’t have
to stay up late just to finish homework. I play much better in kickball,
baseball, and football. I am able to catch, and throw my passes
and catches. I think my biggest improvement vision therapy has given
me is my spelling, before therapy I couldn’t spell science,
but now I’m up and kick’n so watch out Michael is come’n
out."
