Howard Bacon

O.D., F.C.O.V.D.

Dr. Howard B. Bacon has been in private practice since 1981. He is currently the co-owner of Family Optometry. Howard was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He received his optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry, Forest Grove, Oregon in 1981. Dr. Bacon has an extensive background in pediatrics, and is an expert in infant and children’s vision. Dr. Bacon has a thorough knowledge of child development.

Dr. Bacon is also an expert in the fitting of both rigid and soft contact lenses. He has helped patients with keratoconus, irregular cornea, anisometropia, and in controlling myopia. Patients have come back year after year to seek his professional care. Dr. Bacon is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Bacon enjoys music, sports and is an avid racquetball player. Dr. Bacon has been married to Laura for 43 years. They have has two daughters, one son, and a beautiful grand daughter.
